In a moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing to do, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing. – Theodore Roosevelt.
Sometimes we just have to stop thinking and start doing. Usually, once we get something underway the task becomes less daunting and when we procrastinate too long we often miss opportunities. Whilst planning and due diligence no doubt have their place, there is no substitute for going with a hunch, right or wrong it’s always a better learning experience. We mustn’t blow things out of proportion either, but there’s no doubt about it that putting off easy things makes them hard and putting off hard things creates major stress. Everyone has their share of difficulties and sometimes not finishing something can be worse than not starting, but when we learn to rely on the messages of our own heart and soul we see a difference in everything.
Life is full of people who have the philosophy to do something ‘one day’ they really mean never. It comes from a place of fear, they don’t want to make mistakes, they don’t want to look like a fool or perhaps they don’t want to take responsibility. The thing is though, when we don’t do something we can have regrets, possibly for the rest of our lifetime. We teach people how to be bold, how to be alive, how to fall and bounce back up again. There’s no real sense to much of what goes on in life but when we learn to laugh at our own mistakes we actually become more fulfilled. Anger can be borne out of regret and none of us can be happy unless we approve of ourselves. Breaking the cycle of life and starting afresh with renewed direction is why we like our centre here at Blissland to be known as the heart of personal liberation.
